Meeks scores 19!

Since Charlie was out of town this weekend, I didn't want Jodie's 19 point performance this weekend to not be recognized. Way to go Jodie, and keep on proving everyone wrong!

We here at wildcatwrap.com like to honor our Wildcats in the pros, but apparently Louisville does too. Check out this picture I found at the UofL practice facility that has the names of each "Pitino player in the NBA". There's like 20 names on the wall and 3 of them are UofL players, the rest are Kentucky. What a joke, and you wonder why we call you "lil brother"??

Cats in the Pros

There are two stories making headlines involving former Wildcats in the pro ranks.

On Friday, the Arizona Diamondbacks exercised their club option on former Wildcat pitcher and 2006 Cy Young Award winner Brandon Webb. Webb started only one game for the Diamondbacks last year (Opening Day), and eventually under went should surgery. Prior to hitting the DL last season Webb had been very durable throughout his career, only missing 15 games as a major leaguer back in 2003. Webb's future in Arizona is uncertain after next year, so we will see if the Diamondbacks decide to offer him an extension.

The second story comes from the NBA. Former Wildcat and current Detroit Pistons forward Tayshaun Prince will be out of the lineup indefinitely due to a ruptured disc in his lower back. Tayshaun had been sidelined earlier this month with back problems, which were most likely related to his current injury. Prince had appeared in just three games this season averaging 12.3 points, 5 rebounds, and 2.3 assists.
